At Suhrud Music school, classical music is taught with the help of Gandharva Mahavidyalay syllabus, as it is nicely designed to get introduced to Indian Classical Music. Though basic education is introductory, Team Suhrud wants students to understand the actual concept of what they are learning and wants to provide them with a chance to get guidance from experts to understand the concept well.Due to popularity of Khayal gayan, singing of Dhrupad gradually started losing public acclaim. It remained restricted to one compulsory question in examination. This Dhrupad workshop was specially arranged to know more about this art form.In the first half of the Workshop, Meghana Sardar elucidated about the history, methodology of Dhrupad in very easy language. In the second half, she taught the students a Bandish. This was followed by Question-answer session wherein students and their parents too got their doubts cleared.
